Mariners skate past Phantoms

Ryan Morris scored four times as the Eastern Shore Mariners rebounded from an early deficit to defeat the Fundy Phantoms 8-3 in Nova Scotia Junior C Hockey League action.

Kyle Miller had two goals and Brandon Mombourquette and Craig Ferguson each scored once.

Cody Sutton, Ryan Wilson and Denis Robichaud responded for the Phantoms while Coulton Tower and Travis Davis each had two assists.

The Phantoms led 1-0 after one period and trailed 4-3 after two. Eastern Shore outshot Fundy 26-8.

The Phantoms return to action on Friday when they host the North Shore Storm at the Amherst Stadium at 9:15 p.m. Fundy travels to Windsor on Sunday to face the Avon Valley River Rats.
