Mattatall skating in Russia

TRURO - Wallace native John Mattatall and figure skating pairs partner Mylene Brodeur are competing at the Rostelecom Cup today to Sunday in Moscow.
The pair are representing Canada in the senior pair's discipline. The competition is the second of six ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating events this season.
The pair were bronze medallists last year at the Canadian Figure Skating Championships in Saskatoon.
Mattatall, 26, and Brodeur are coached by Richard Gauthier, Bruno Marcotte and Manon Perron at CPA Saint-Leonard.
It was also announced Thursday Mattatall was selected as one of six athletes for support from Bell Aliant is his quest to compete at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
The corporation is supporting one athlete or team from each province east of Ontario.
