TORONTO - Forget Bourne and Kraatz, Sale and Pelletier, Underhill and Martini - the new ice dance teams to watch are Bourne and Lemieux, Sale and Simpson, Underhill and Duguay.
The CBC has revealed the eight teams of figure skaters and hockey heroes that will compete on its upcoming series "Battle of the Blades."
The pairings include Shae-Lynn Bourne with Claude Lemieux, Jamie Sale with Craig Simpson, and Barb Underhill with Ron Duguay.
Other teams include Isabelle Brasseur with Glenn Anderson, Christine (Tuffy) Hough-Sweeney with Tie Domi, and Kristina Lenko with Bob Probert.
Co-host and former skating champ Kurt Browning says the hockey brutes give it their all in the elimination-style series, to be shot in front of a live audience at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens.
"Battle of the Blades" kicks off Oct. 4.
