LLOYDMINSTER, Alta. - Rodney Stafford is crossing into Alberta on his bike journey in memory of his slain daughter.
Stafford is at the Saskatchewan-Alberta boundary today in the city of Lloydminster.
He is expected to finish up his "Kilometres for Kids" bike trek by reaching Edmonton on Thursday.
Stafford will then go to a mountain in Jasper, Alta., where his daughter once stood and release a single purple balloon.
Eight-year-old Victoria Stafford was abducted and killed in April, after she left school in Woodstock.
Two Woodstock residents are charged in her murder.
