MONTREAL - The stage is set for Formula One's return to Montreal next year.
Grand Prix F1 du Canada Inc., and F1's governing body have reached a settlement in their financial dispute.
The issue began last fall and led to the cancellation of the 2009 Canadian Grand Prix.
In a release, local promoter Normand Legault says an announcement that Montreal is back on the F1 schedule is "forthcoming."
Legault says he never doubted that the race would return to Canada.
But he adds that he has no plans to be involved in the staging of future editions of the race.
