AMHERST - Amherst's Ryan Mackintosh finished his latest southern swing with a win at Connecticut's Waterford NASCAR Speedbowl.
It was his second win in as many appearances at the New England track.
Driving the Scotia Hyundai No. 24 Bandolero, Mackintosh spent the month of August in North Carolina, finishing eight at championship night at Lowe's Motor Speedway, fifth place at Concord Motor Speedway, eight in the Southern Regional National Qualifier and second overall in the four-race series at Rockingham.
He was also fourth in a race at Orange County Speedway.
He finished six out of 14 races in the top five.
Mackintosh will be going back to North Carolina for several races in the fall and will be racing in the 2010 season for Chris Woods Racing of Kannapolis, N.C. Woods racing is also working to get him an opportunity to race the team's Allison Legacy ride next year.
He will also be racing some Legends events with Dan Snyder Racing of Mooresville, N.C.
