VanSnick fifth at nationals

AMHERST - Amherst's Alex VanSnick finished fifth at the ASN Karting Nationals at Goodwood Kartways in Ontario recently.
VanSnick got as high as third place in the feature race before being passed by two other karters who were drafting behind him. The top four races in the class were racing on their home track. There were 14 karts in the junior Honda division.
As well, Amherst's Brandon Walker finished eighth at the nationals in the junior division.
Nathan Kelly of Amherst had some mechanical difficulties and was unable to race in the feature event.
