WALLACE BAY - A 39-year-old woman fighting for her life after a riding accident in Wallace Bay early Monday.
The unidentified woman is in critical condition after she fell off her horse and the horse fell on her.
She was transported by ambulance to North Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Pugwash and airlifted by LifeFlight to the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
EHS spokesperson Paul Maynard said the call came in through 911 at about 8:15 a.m. and both EHS and the Wallace Fire Department responded to the incident at civic address 12628 Highway 6.Maynard said the woman arrived at the QEII Health Sciences Centre with a major head injury and remains in critical condition.
