AMHERST - It was a circus-like atmosphere when trying to fill the vacant positions of the Amherst Jr. A Ramblers executive last night.

During the executive meeting, members of the organization kept silent on the nominations to fill the treasurer's position as well as three board of directors positions.
One member at the back of the room, stood and wanted to know the position of the organization president, George Baker.
"I was asked to accept if someone nominated me to be on the executive today," she said.
"Prior to being able to do that, I'd like to know where you stand in terms of are you going to stay or are you going to step down."
In responding to her concern, Baker reiterated, "I put my notice in for October 1."
When it came to the directors' positions, members were still questioning Baker's position on resigning as president, but no one came forth to fill those positions.
"If we don't get anybody that's going to nominate or offer to come on the board (last night), our executive will go out and find four people that will fill those positions," he said.

Nominations were called for the position of Treasurer, when none were forthcoming a hasty motion was made to adjourn the meeting and quickly seconded BEFORE any nominations were called for the three board positions.

So what this says is that he will still put whomever he wants on the board. All of these people need to be voted in but that seldom seems to happen.
