AMHERST - Amherst Pizza Delight United suffered a pair of setbacks in the Codiac Senior Soccer League this weekend.
Last night at the Winston Street field, Moncton-based FC Ambassadors blanked Pizza Delight 4-0. Landon Crowe was in goal for the hosts, who trailed 2-0 at halftime.
On Friday, the local side was short-staffed in a 6-4 loss to the Saxby Rovers in Riverview, N.B., dressing just eight players because of high school graduation ceremonies. Ken Terris, with two, Dan McSwain and Tyler Collins had the goals for Pizza Delight. The teams were tied 1-1 at halftime.
Pizza Delight's next home game is Sunday at the Winston Street field at 7 p.m.
