Lorneville woman missing for six hours

AMHERST - A 70-year-old Lorneville woman is safe after going missing for six hours near her home late Monday.
The woman was last seen at about 11 p.m., Monday and was reported missing at 1 a.m., Tuesday.
She was located at 5 a.m., and transported to hospital by ambulance for examination after being exposed to cool temperatures overnight.
An RCMP incident commander was called in from Bible Hill while Springhill Ground Search and Rescue was on the scene.
A Cormorant helicopter was tasked by the Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax to do a shoreline search and a Coast Guard search and rescue lifeboat was also dispatched from Summerside, P.E.I., but did not make it to the location before she was found.
