Division 3 regionals in town today

AMHERST - The Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Northumberland Region Division 3 girls slopitch championship begins today in Amherst and will be played at Robb's Centennial Complex and St. Charles Street field.
The Pool A teams are Springhill, Musquodoboit and Guysborough.
The Pool B teams are Antigonish East, Parrsboro and Pictou Academy.
Pool A will play at Robb's No. 2 and the schedule is as follows:
Noon - Springhill vs. Musquodoboit
1:30 p.m. - Springhill vs. Pictou Academy
3 p.m. - Musquodoboit vs. Guysborough
4:30 p.m. - First in Pool A vs. first in Pool B to determine first and second seed.
Pool B will play at the St. Charles Street Field and the schedule is as follows:
Noon - Antigonish East vs. Parrsboro
1:30 p.m. - Antigonish East vs. Pictou Academy
3 p.m. - Parrsboro vs. Pictou Academy
4:30 p.m. - Second in Pool A vs. second in Pool B to determine the third seed.
Three teams will advance to the provincials.
The 3 and 4:30 p.m., games at St. Charles could be moved to Robb's No. 1 if the boys Division 1 regional finishes early.
The weather forecast is calling for sunny skies in the afternoon with a high of 15 C.
