Gouchie wins inaugural Mac Hopkins award

AMHERST - The Mac Hopkins Men's Bowling League wrapped up its 63rd season recently, handing out a number of awards and presenting a trophy in Hopkins' honour for the first time.
Richie Henderson continued to dominate the individual awards while Team Canadian Tire, under captain Eric Richards, swept the regular season and playoff banners.
In honour of Hopkins, a longtime bowler who passed away last year, the league presented the first Mac Hopkins Memorial Award to Mark Gouchie. The award will be presented annually to a bowler who advances the value and fun of theleague, is a person who can be relied on, is a consistent bowler and a sociable person with a sense of humour.
