Lohnes wins second Nova Scotia stick curling title

TRURO - Ted Lohnes is the provincial stick curling champion again.
Lohnes laid claim to his second title in the tournament's three years of existence on the weekend at Middleton Curling Club with partner Ron Crowe.
Lohnes also won the crown in its inaugural year in 2007 with Bill Spinney.
Lohnes and Crowe defeated Windsor Curling Club's Dave Penney and Merril Beach 7-3 in the final and finished the tournament with a 5-2 record.
The pair will compete at the inaugural Maritime championship at Truro Curling Club April 6 and 7 against nine other teams from Nova Scotia and P.E.I.
