AMHERST - Nova Scotia Power is not planning any additional power outages this weekend.

Responding to rumours in the community that the lights would be turned off for 24 hours so power crews can work on the power lines, company spokesperson Stacey Pineau said there are not planned outages, "and definitely not for 24 hours."

Crews, she added, are continuing to work across the county cutting tree limbs away from branches in preparation for more snow and rain and wind expected over the weekend.
