KISS to headline summer outdoor show on Halifax Commons

HALIFAX - After months of rumours, East Coast fans of veteran hard rockers KISS are about to get official word that the hotter-than-hell quartet is heading to Halifax this summer.
Halifax-based promoter Harold MacKay, of Power Promotional Events Inc., will hold a news conference Tuesday to announce a major concert event called Halifax Rocks 2009.
Newspaper ads for the event's website at have already been running, incorporating KISS's signature kabuki stage makeup.
The official KISS Army website is already stating that the band will headline Halifax Rocks 2009 on the Halifax Commons on July 18, with tickets going on sale to the general public on Friday.
In November, KISS co-founder and bassist Gene Simmons told the Toronto Sun that the band would be playing a series of dates this summer, specifically naming Halifax as one of the shows.
