REGINA A Saskatchewan man waiting to be sentenced for the freezing deaths of his two young daughters is facing new charges.

RCMP say Christopher Pauchay has been charged with two counts of breach of undertaking.

Defence lawyer Ron Piche says the allegations are that on two occasions Pauchay breached a bail condition not to consume alcohol.

Piche says his client suffers from alcoholism and that the allegations if proven true are not tremendously surprisingly.

Pauchay was drunk when he left his home with his daughters and lost them in a blizzard on the Yellow Quill First Nation last year.

Piche says he wants to get Pauchay into an alcohol treatment program before the 25-year-old is sentenced for criminal negligence causing death.
