Colchester girls get fourth for Nova Scotia

TRURO - A pair of Colchester County girls helped Nova Scotia to a fourth-place finish at the Under-16 Girls All-Star National Soccer Championship in Sherwood Park, Alta.
Truro's Shanice Maxwell and Brentwood's Paula Serracin were members of the team, which also finished fourth last year.
The Bluenosers defeated British Columbia 2-1 Saturday and fell 2-0 to Ontario Friday, wrapping up the event with a 1-2-1 record (W-L-T).
Lauren Ferguson and Breanne Moore scored for Nova Scotia against British Columbia.
Maxwell's lone goal of the tournament came in the opener against Saskatchewan.
Both local girls were solid on the field all tournament.
Ontario won the championship with a 3-0-1 record, while Quebec (2-0-2) was second and Alberta (2-2-0) rounded out the podium.
