TROIS-RIVIERES, Que. _ Authorities are scouring a central Quebec river for a missing young boy.
According to media reports, two children were swimming in the St-Maurice River, near Trois-Rivieres, when one was swept away by the current.
Passersby heard screaming and rushed to help. They managed to pull one child from the river, who is reportedly in good condition.
All-news channel LCN is reporting that local police are using search lights as they continue their search for the boy.
Ages of the two children are not known.
