Traffic is moving slowly on Highway 2 between Springhill and Amherst this morning after a motorist was struck by a dump truck near Fenwick where a number of maple syrup producers are located. No one was reported as injured at the scene of the accident.

Most important i would like to say i'm glad no one was reported injured other than their pride. Second I would just like to say that over the last year there has be a number of accindents in that 3km strech and personally i beleive they all had somthing to do with SPEED and the lay of the road..(Right) For parking on the SIDE of the road, this has been going on for years and the normal thing to do is (Taught in driven coarses) SLOW DOWN and if you like the speed go to the 104.

sounds like to me Jamie that you can't handle the road. Also speed is not the issue but having cars parked on both sides of the road at a corner makes it hard to navagate this part of the road, I think Minister Murray Scott should be notified of this and have a law passed so no one should parked around curves and only on one side of the road. Learn to park people and far off the shoulder. The highway is made for driving, not parking for a walk in the woods.

Doesnt help that it is not only a hill but also a turn. SLOWWWWW DOWN PEOPLE. And pick your parking spots more carefully.

It was just a matter of time before an accident would happen here, too many people parked along this road, makes it hard to drive along here because of this.
