WENTWORTH - Nova Scotia's largest ski hill is celebrating a special birthday this coming year.
Ski Wentworth will mark 75 years of skiing in the Valley of Snow in 2008.
"It's going to be a big milestone for us," said general manager Leslie Wilson. "I have been gathering stories from skiers who were here in the early days, some of my father's friends."
The hill is still looking for submissions of photos and stories it can post on its website.
"We do have a proud history," Wilson said noting it had the first rope tow and t-bar in Atlantic Canada.
Skiiers from Halifax and Truro originally made the trip to Wentworth by train a couple times a week in the 1930s.
More history of the hill is available on its website at www.skiwentworth.ca
