TRURO - Raceon star, a four-year-old pacer owned by Doug Polley of Amherst, scored his first lifetime win Sunday when he won a $1,025 class at Truro Raceway with a mile in 2:06.3.
The margin of victory was one and three-quarter lengths. Polley did the driving as the gelding finally found the winner's circle after nine second-place finishes in 18 starts.
Raceon Nicholas finished fourth for Polley in another $1,025 class.
At Hippodrome de Montreal on Sunday, Hilo won his fourth in a row for owner Paul Gray of Pugwash, winning over a sloppy track in 1:55.
