AMHERST (Staff) - Bunch of Guys and the Cumberland Honda Reds picked up two wins apiece in Amherst Men's Slo-Pitch League action.
Bunch of Guys defeated Elm Tree 3-2 and 12-8 while Cumberland Honda defeated Bambino's 9-3 and 20-14.
Corey Mattinson led the way for Bunch of Guys with a double and two singles and Andy Bonnell, Jim Ross and Scott Mattinson added two hits each in the 3-2 win. Brad Weatherbee and Chad Blanchard added singles.
Steve Chase and Jason Hoeg had two hits each for Elm Tree. Rory Faulkner, Vern Hurley, Jarred Fraser, Steve Brander, Dan McManaman and Jason White all added singles.
In game two, Alan Mattinson and Nick Merrill had three singles each and Corey Mattinson double and single to pace Bunch of Guys to a 12-8 victory.
Weatherbee, Bonnell, Ross, Corey Bates, Mike Embree and Blanchard all chipped in with two hits each and Paul Arsenault added a single.
Brander led Elm Tree with a triple and single while Faulkner doubled and singled and Vern Hurley added two hits. White and Nick Dobson had doubles and Chase, Jason Hoeg and Fraser added singles.
Luke Crocker homered and singled to pace Cumberland Honda to a 9-3 victory over Bambinos. Joel Stronge, Jon Ross and Jordan Rector added two hits each.
Devi Moore tripled, Jake Kaiser doubled and Scott McManaman, Marc Belliveau, Brad Ferguson, Brent Belliveau and Darcy McSorley added singles.
Sean Brown paced Bambino's with a pair of hits and Will Logan, Mark MacDonnell, Shawn Webb, Jason Hurley, Adam Gabriel, Rob Wood, Doug Sparks, John Lake and Kyle Armsworthy added singles.
In the second game, Moore homered, tripled and doubled and Stronge added three doubles and a single to pace the Reds to a 20-14 win.
Kaiser doubled twice and added two singles, Rector added three hits, McSorley homered and singled, Crocker doubled and singled, Ross and Brad Ferguson added two singles each and Brent Belliveau singled.
Shawn Webb had four singles and Jim Dorrington and Adam Gabriel added three hits each for Bambino's. Logan, MacDonnell, Wood, Brown and Armsworthy had two hits each and Hurley, Sparks and Lake added singles.
