WENTWORTH Claire Patriquin was one of six Nova Scotias Most Remarkable Seniors in 2007.
The Wentworth native received an award for being nominated during the annual Expo 50+ held at Exhibition Park in Halifax.
Patriquin has been volunteering for almost 50 years. She has been a hospital board member, member of the Order of the Eastern Star, United Church Lay Ministries and Christian Education Committee member, all the while being an active yoga instructor.
She continues to play a role in various cancer fundraisers such as the Relay for Life and Ski Mt. Everest, and is active with Childrens International, an organization providing help to children living in dire poverty.
Her motivation stems from her strong ethical, social and religious background, and her commitment to better the lives of the those around her.
