AMHERST (Staff) - Are you looking for a great activity to do with your children or the neighbour's kids?

All next week, adults wishing to take a child or youth under the age of 18 golfing can do so thanks to the Take a kid to the course week.

Any child or youth under the age of 18 plays for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult member of the club or an adult that pays a regular green free.

This is an initiative of the National Golf Course Owners Association.

Cumberland Honda Reds

tops Bunch of Guys 12-3

AMHERST (Staff) - Luke Crocker doubled with two singles and Scott McManaman and Jake Kaiser added three singles each to pace Cumberland Honda to a 12-3 win over Bunch of Guys in Amherst Men's Slo-Pitch League action.

David Hicks tripled and singled, Joel Stronge doubled and singled, Marc Belliveau added two singles and Jordan Rector, Corey Nicholson and Brad Ferguson added singles.

Jeremy Edwards doubled with two singles and Andy Bonnell added two singles for Bunch of Guys.

Brad Weatherbee, Nick Merrill, Alan Mattinson and Corey Bates had two singles apiece and Corey Mattinson singled to round out the attack.



Recreational tennis

program offered

AMHERST (Staff) - The Town of Amherst recreation department is offering tennis lessons to people of all ages.

The department will supply racquets and balls.

If anyone is interested, call the summer program office at 667-6507.
