Force On Finesse wins two races for driver Phil Pinkney

Force Ore Finesse, in rein to veteran driver Phil Pinkney, won the faster of two elimination divisions of the Maritime Breeders championship series at Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre on Saturday night.

The horse paced to a personal best time of 1:56.1, the fastest mile of the Maritime season for three-year-old pacing colts.

Force Ore Finesse, in rein to veteran driver Phil Pinkney, won the faster of two elimination divisions of the Maritime Breeders championship series at Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre on Saturday night.

The horse paced to a personal best time of 1:56.1, the fastest mile of the Maritime season for three-year-old pacing colts.

Force Ore Finesse defeated Mr Sundin, Western Dexter and Pictonian Wayvue, who all qualified for next Saturday's $20,000 plus final.

The other colt division went to Cameo Morley, who took a new mark of 1:56.3 for Mark Campbell in winning over Smarty JT, Woodmere Winstar and Pictonian Bestwestern.

Southview Sally set a Maritime seasonal record of 1:56.1 by winning the faster division of the MBA series for three-year-old pacing fillies.

Brian MacPhee drove the Drop Off filly to her second straight win. The other division winner was Island Galeforce in 1:57 for Gilles Barrieau and owner Dr. Bob Webster of Charlottetown.

There were also two elimination heats for three-year-old trotters on the program. Dunmore Tko won his heat in 2:04.4 for owner-driver Edward Smallwood while Gilles Barrieau drove Flightofthephoenix to a 2:05.1 victory in the other division.

Porthill Alf paced the fastest mile of the Maritime season with a 1:54.3 victory over Dunachton Gale in a division of the Cecil Ladner Series for Open pacers.
