Donated boxes of Kraft Dinner to be donated to food bank

AMHERST-The organizers of the bid to bring Kraft Hockeyville to Amherst announced Saturday that Donate to Skate will be taking place Saturday, March 1.
By donating a box of Kraft Dinner upon entrance to the Amherst Ramblers home game on Saturday, March 1, or before the skate begins after the Ramblers game, fans will be allowed to come on the ice and skate with the Amherst Ramblers.
At the conclusion of the skate, the donated boxes of Kraft Dinner will be spread out across the ice to spell out Amherst = Hockeyville to showcasing Amherst's generosity to Kraft. Every donated box of will be donated to the local food bank.
The top 16 Canadian communities will be announced simultaneously on Saturday, March 8 at 7:00 pm on Hockey Night in Canada and at Amherst Stadium during its final regular season home game of the 2013-2014 Maritime Junior A Hockey League schedule. If selected, Amherst Stadium receives $25,000 in upgrades.
Voting opens Sunday, March 9 at 12:00 am and closes March 11 at 12:59:59 am. According to a source, the Amherst YMCA is prepared to open for 24 hour voting.
