Graham Black shot trickled just over the line behind Nick McBride to force overtime.
The Swift Current Broncos scored late to force overtime again but only managed a single point in a 3-2 shootout loss to the visiting Prince Albert Raiders.
The Raiders snapped a five-game losing streak behind 37 saves from Nick McBride in regulation and overtime before he stopped Jay Merkley, Nathan Burns, and Graham Black in the shootout. Leon Draisaitl scored the only goal in the shootout for Prince Albert.
The Broncos dominated most aspects of the contest but found themselves trailing late after failing to convert their scoring opportunities. Graham Black scored with 1:07 left on the clock to force overtime, just one game after scoring the overtime winner on a penalty shot against Brandon.
Merkley had scored in the second period before Collin Valcourt and Dakota Conroy replied for a 2-1 Prince Albert lead.
Eetu Laurikainen made 24 saves in the loss to drop to 16-14-0-4 for the Broncos.
The Broncos remain atop the East Division with a 25-18-1-6 record. Prince Albert remains just outside the playoff picture with a 23-23-2-0 record.
The Broncos will visit the Saskatoon Blades (13-33-1-3) on Saturday for their third game in four days.
