Graham Black scores penalty shot winner in overtime to lift Swift Current to the win

Graham Black made no mistake on his overtime penalty shot, deaking to Brandon goaltender Curtis Honey's stick side and firing a shot just inside the post for the 4-3 win.
Graham Black scored the overtime winner on a penalty shot as the Swift Current Broncos scored an unlikely come from behind win over the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings.
Swift Current accomplished the uphill task of scoring a pair of late third period goals with their net empty for an extra attacker to erase a 3-1 deficit and force the extra session.
Black nearly scored on a breakaway during the four on four overtime session, but was hauled down by Wheat Kings defenceman Colton Waltz.

Equally as thrilling was the way the Broncos got to overtime, with Swift Current crashing the net for a pair of goals in the final 2:14 of play. Nathan Burns scored his 19th goal of the season from the top of the crease to pull the Broncos within a goal. Coda Gordon tied the game at 3-3 with his 19th of the season with just 25 seconds remaining in regulation.
Swift Current found themselves twice trailing by two goal margins, falling behind 2-0 and 3-1 before mounting the memorable comeback.
Chad Robinson, Tim McGauley and Rihards Bukarts had goals for Brandon and the Wheat Kings led 3-1 with 5:36 left in the third period.
Jake DeBrusk had the other Broncos goal, scoring his ninth of the season early in the third period.
Broncos netminder Eetu Laurikainen improved to 16-13-0-4 after turning aside 32 of 35 shots.
Brandon goaltender Curtis Honey is now 8-8-2-0 despite stopping 39 of 43 shots.
More importantly, the Broncos regain top spot in the East Division standings. Swift Current now boasts a 25-18-1-5 record to sit a single point ahead of Brandon who are now 25-17-5-0.
