The Swift Current Hurricanes defeated the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds in their first home game since mid-November

The Hurricanes, playing their first home game since November 15, trailed 1-0 after one period before scoring six unanswered goals, four of them on the man-advantage. Thomas Hammerton and Tristan Carey both contributed a goal and an assist in the win. Blade Roh picked up the victory in goal with 22 saves on 23 shots. Dominic Vallee also scored, while Tanner Fritzke, Parker Wall, Shayn Bissonnette, and Josh Dickie all added assists.
Jeremy McKenna scored the lone goal for the Bantam Hounds, who dropped to 8-10-4 in the South Sask Midget AA Hockey League. The Hurricanes remain third in the league standings with a 16-5-3 record.
The Hurricanes will open the provincial playoffs on Thursday when they visit the Regina Wild. Their next league game will be Monday when they visit the Notre Dame Argos.
