Team Pacific defeated Team West 6-3 on day two of the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Nova Scotia.
Swift Current Broncos forward Glenn Gawdin had one assist for Team Pacific in the win. Broncos prospect Jackson Keane had two assists in the loss for Team West. Prospect Wyatt Sloboshan also skated for Team West but was held off the scoresheet in their opening game. Pacific improved to 1-1 after losing their opener to Quebec on Sunday,
Team Pacific is comprised of players from British Columbia and Alberta, while Team West is comprised of players from Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
10 teams are taking part in the Under-17 Challenge, five regional teams from Canada, as well as national teams from the Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia, the United States, and Germany.
Team West will face the Czech Republic on Tuesday, while Team Pacific will have the day off before facing the Czech Republic on Wednesday.
