Gryphons double Vikings 6-3

The ARHS Vikings lost 6-3 to the North Nova Gryphons in high school hockey action on Friday night.

AMHERST – The North Nova Gryphons scored four second period goals en route to a 6-3 win over the ARHS Vikings in Northern Nova Scotia High School Hockey League action in Amherst on Friday.

Scott Graham had two goals for the Division 1 Gryphons and added an assist.

Alex Halliday, Chris Broooker, Craig Murray and Tommy Hayman each scored once for North Nova.

Andrew Skinner two goals and an assist for Amherst, while Ryan Hunter scored once. Brett Gallant, Matthew Beal and Alex VanSnick added assists.

The Vikings return to action on Feb. 8 when they host the Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders at 8:15 p.m. They also host Hampton on Feb. 9 at 4 p.m.

On Feb. 15, Amherst hosts the PHP Predators from Campbellton, N.B.
