SPRINGHILL – It was a tough go for the Cumberland Blues tonight during their game against the Sackville Blazers during their season opener at the Springhill rink. After scoring the first goal of the night, by Blues player Larry Varga, the Blazers quickly took the lead from them, ending the first period with a score of 2 to 1.

The Blues tied up the game in the second period scoring the only goal scored by Mike McLure.

The Blazers quickly came back and broke the tie, scoring another two goals. But the Blues proved to be tough catching another goal by Tyler Gould before the clock ran out. The Cumberland Blues lost the game to the Blazers 4-3.
