Returning Cumberland Blues Alumni players took on current Cumberland Blues players in the 1st Annual Alumni Game Friday night in Springhill.

SPRINGHILL – Springhill hosted the 1st Annual Alumni Game Friday night.

The game kicked off with a barbecue. Volunteers cooked up some hot dogs for those attending the game. The barbecue was free for those in attendance.

Once the players hit the ice, fans anxiously watched former team members take on the current Cumberland Blues in a close game. Two goals were scores within the first five minutes for the Alumni players. The current Cumberland Blues were not far behind, the in two of their own goals to tie the game heading into second period.

The game ended with the Alumni taking home the win with a final score of 9 to 5. Cumberland Blues player LIam Carr scored 3 goals with fellow players Mike McLure and Jesse Colburne each scoring one.Alumni player Cody Roach brought in 4 goals as well as Jody Shaw scoring another 2. Cody Furth and Travis Davis each scored one goal.
