YARMOUTH – The Amherst Ramblers gave fans a St. Paddy’s present tonight, beating the Yarmouth Mariners 1-0 at Mariners Centre, in the first game of a best of seven Bent Division final series.

The only goal of the game was scored at 2:55 in the second period by Nicholas Young, assisted by Dylan Brake and Jordan Escott.

The Yarmouth Junior A Mariners had 31 shots on net - stopped by Richard Tingley - to the Ramblers 21.

A sizeable crowd of 1,472 spectators attended.

The teams will play game two in Amherst on Tuesday, March 20.
