Away loss for Blues in playoff game

7-4 defeat at hands of Pirates

PORT HAWKESBURY – The Cumberland County Blues lost against the Strait Pirates tonight in their first Junior B playoff game. The Port Hawkesbury game saw two goals scored by Geoff Burke and one by Josh Coleman in the first period, with the Pirates scoring four. The Straits lead grew from there, with one goal in the second, and two more in the third. Jordie Shaw put one in the net in the third but, with less than two minutes of play left, there was no hope of pulling out a win.
