The Amherst Fire Department atom AA Ramblers came in third place at the NewPage Invitational Minor Hockey Tournament last weekend in Port Hawkesbury.
The Ramblers beat the Pictou County Crushers by a score of 4-1 in the consolation game.
Reuben MacKenzie and Josh Sperry had two goals each in the game, with Sperry adding a two assists and MacKenzie getting a single helper.
The Ramblers kicked the tournament off with a 1-1 tie with the Brookfield Elks.
Riley Porter scored the Ramblers goal and Sperry and MacKenzie registered assists.
The Ramblers beat Pictou County 8-4 in the second game they played at the tournament.
Porter led the way with three goals and two assists, while Sperry and Landen Clarke had two goals each and Kyle Moore had one goal.
MacKenzie had three assists, with single assists going to Tanner Bowen, Brendan McCullum and Evan Hatfield.
The Ramblers lost 4-2 to Port Hawkesbury in their third game.
