In Campbellton to face Tigers
AMHERST - The Amherst Ramblers head to Campbellton tonight hoping to continue the momentum gained by two straight wins against a team that will no doubt have revenge on their minds.
"They're going to be better than they were here Saturday night and if anyone thinks they're not, they're sadly mistaken," Rambler coach Corey Crocker said. "We played well Saturday night and as long as we bring our work ethic we're going to be fine."
Game time tonight at the Campbellton Civic Centre is 7:30 p.m. The Ramblers will be seeking their third consecutive win after defeating the Tigers 3-0 and rallying to beat Truro 3-2 in overtime last Tuesday.
"We have our season structured in that we know we won't improve by leaps and bounds quickly, but steadily and over time. We're looking to go short-term to short-term and are looking to build every game," Crocker said.
Crocker feels tonight's game will be a big test for his hockey club considering it will be the first long road trip of the season and should prepare the team for this weekend's second showcase in Moncton, during which the club will play the Miramichi Timberwolves on Saturday at 8 p.m. and the Moncton Beavers on Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Tim Hortons 4Ice Centre.
