Vipers double Cumberland County Cool Blues 8-4

Andrew Hayes scored twice and added two assists to lead the Kensington Vipers to an 8-4 victory over the Cumberland County Cool Blues in exhibition Junior B hockey action here Sunday.

SPRINGHILL (Staff) - Andrew Hayes scored twice and added two assists to lead the Kensington Vipers to an 8-4 victory over the Cumberland County Cool Blues in exhibition Junior B hockey action here Sunday.

The Vipers jumped out to a 4-1 lead after one period and added three more goals in the second period to take a 7-2 lead into the break.

Cumberland showed some jump in the third period firing two goals only to allow the eighth and final goal in the last minute of the game.

Jonathan Doiron, Cory Conway, Tyson Arsenault, Jeff Costrain, Cameron Webster and Brodie Sanderson added one goal each for Kensington.

Colin Feehan and Justin Cortes each scored once and added an assist to pace the Blues, who suffered the loss after coming off two big league victories earlier this week.

Josh Hill and Mark Rozak added solo efforts for Cumberland while Shane O'Byrne added two assists and Justin Landry, Seth Crowe, David Burke and Cody Roach added one helper each.

Landon Crowe stopped 37 of the 45 shots he faced for Cumberland while Jeremy McLellan stopped 47 of the 51 shots fired his way
