Jarrett Moore scores four to lead Cumberland Paving

OXFORD Jarrett Moore scored four goals and Patrick Neufeld added two goals and two assists as Cumberland Paving defeated Canadian Tire 9-1 in CCMHA peewee action.

Devon Embree, Lucas Dobson and Kirk Jessome each scored once for Cumberland Paving while Kody Arsenault and Brandon Burbine each added assists.

Jordan Mont replied for Canadian Tire.

Ellis scores winner as

Midget Lions edge

Petitcodiac in Midget play

PETITCODIAC Andrew Ellis scored the winner and Blaine Milner had a goal and an assist to lead the Cumberland County Lions to a 3-2 win over Petitcodiac in Central Midget AA League playoff action.

Brent Cove also scored for the Lions while Denis Robichaud had two assists while Ryan Wilson, Travis LeBlanc and Brendon Grimes each added single assists.

Wilson and LeBlanc each scored as the Cumberland County Lions lost 7-2 to the Riverview Blues in playoff action. Andrew Rideout, Travis Parrell, Wilson and Jamie MacKay added assists.



Legere, McCrossin lead

Canadian Tire over Go Glass

OXFORD Matthew Legere scored four goals and Matthew McCrossin added three to lead Canadian Tire to a 7-1 win over Go Glass in CCMHA peewee action.

Mitchell Maltby, Robert Ward, Jordan Mont and Brandon Dempsey each had two assists while Matthew Hunter had a single assist.

Josh Pugsley scored the lone goal for Go Glass while Thomas Carter and Morgan Dobson each had single assists.



Midget Cs triple Moncton

behind Spences four points

MONCTON  Dakota Spence had two goals and two assists to lead the Cumberland County Pizza Delight Ramblers to a 6-2 win over the Moncton Mad Dogs in exhibition Midget C action.

R.J. Sears scored three goals for Cumberland County, who were tied 1-1 after one period and led 2-1 after two. Ryan Budd had a goal and two assists while Nick Kinnear, Brandon Weir, Brad Barton and Chris Rhindress also added helpers.



Border Curling League

concludes first round

of playoff competition

AMHERST The Border Curling League completed the first leg of playoff competition Wednesdasy with the Mike Bass and Dave Oulton foursomes gaining berths in the Division A and B finals respectively.

Bass will tangle with either the Dave Girouard or Ray Fowler teams while Oulton waits for the winner of the semifinal game between Carl LeBlanc and Robert Fillmore

In Division A, action David Acton handed Bass his first loss 7-6 while Girouard topped Desi Hurley 9-6 and Fowler defeated Keith Brownell 6-3. On the B side, Oulton slipped by LeBlanc 8-7, Fillmore outscored Jason Hurley 5-0, and Dan Reyno won 7-4 over Kevin Bayrt

The division semifinals are scheduled for the Sackville Curling Club on March 14 at 7 p.m.
