Carter nine shots back at senior championship

ANTIGONISH - Amherst's Gary Carter is nine shots off the lead heading into today's final round of the Nova Scotia Golf Association senior men's (55 and older) championship at Antigonish Golf and Country Club.
Carter carded a 79 yesterday for a 155 total through two rounds, leaving him alone in 12th place.
Cliff Lowery of Amherst, the defending champion, posted an 81 yesterday to sit at 160 and tied for 23rd.
Other Amherst Golf Club entrants in the field include Duane VanSnick (161), Gary Lucci (162), Fred Jones (162), Bryson Crowell (162), Harry Thurston (163), Doug Downey (176), Paul Harrison (177), Richard VanSnick (182), Rod Wood (182), Ron Case (184) and Ralph Beal (187).
