AMHERST - The forecast is calling for sunny skies and the course is in great shape for the ladiers and junior club championships at the Amherst Golf Club this weekend.
"We've been working on the fairways and roughs to where we like them," said club superintendent Peter McCabe.
"All the wet weather has put us behind, but this week the course has dried out so we have it under control again."
The greens are also up to par.
"The greens are good," he said. "We had some issues with the greens but we have it under control.
"We've been taking the wet weather in stride and everything is coming together well for this weekend."
