Banks continues solid play at national junior championship

KITCHENER, Ont. - Truro's Eric Banks continued to move up the leaderboard Wednesday at the Canadian Junior Boys Golf Championship at Westmount Golf and Country Club in Kitchener, Ont.
Banks carded six-over-par 79 to move up to a five-way draw for 57th. The 16-year-old sits at 13-over heading into today's final round.
East Mountain's Craig Dale didn't make the cut for the final round.
New Minas' Sam Holland is tied for sixth to lead Team Nova Scotia at the event. He fired 73 Wednesday to remain at even par.
Maple Ridge, B.C.'s Justin Shin leads the tournament at six-under, while Courtenay, B.C.'s Riley Wheeldon and London, Ont.'s Mitch Sutton are one stroke back.
