Quarterback Grady Lamontagne plunged in from one yard out to give the Colts a 14-7 halftime lead.
The Swift Current Comp. Colts football team got into the win column with a 24-14 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Vanier Vikings on Thursday.
The win evened the Colts record at 1-1 this season in the Moose Jaw High School Football League, while Vanier dropped to 0-2.
The Colts got touchdowns from quarterback Grady Lamontagne and receivers Duncan Knox and Marcus Mayall in the win.
Knox got the Colts on the board with a 25-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. Lamontagne plunged into the endzone from one-yard out to give the Colts a 14-7 lead at halftime.
Marcus Mayall went 61 yards in the third quarter for the winning score after receiving a pass from his brother, Jaylen after a bubble pass.
Lamontagne finished nine for 17 through the air for 125 yards with one touchdown pass and one interception. Mayall added 61 yards on his only attempt as the Colts totalled 186 yards through the air, an average of 18.6 yards per reception.
Casper Hoffman led the Colts in rushing with 125 yards on 19 carries as the Colts racked up 322 yards of total offense.
Jon Unger converted all three touchdowns with an extra point and capped the win with a 36-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Unger also averaged 33 yards on four punts in the win.
The Colts will be on the road next week when they travel to Estevan to face the Elecs on Tuesday.
Estevan is coming off a 31-14 loss to Moose Jaw AE Peacock on Thursday in Moose Jaw as they dropped to 0-2.
