Amherst -
The Fundy Phantom's need to see a doctor, and quick.
"We need to get a heart transplant," said assistant coach Steve Leblanc after Sunday's game at Amherst Stadium against the Barrington Sea Star Ice Dogs. "Because we're lacking a heart right now."
The Phantoms lost to the Ice Dogs by a score of 8-4.
"We have enough guys with enough skill to win some hockey games but we can't seem to get an honest effort out of them on a consistent basis," added Leblanc.
Leblanc said some tough decisions will soon be made.
"We have some cuts that have to be made at the first of December and if we're not going to get an effort then we're going to have to cut some guys," said Leblanc. "There will be some guys who just won't be with us any more."
Leblanc said he was very disappointed in the Phantoms effort on Sunday.
"We had a team come in here with two lines after sitting on a bus for six hours and we get outworked by them," said Leblanc. "They should be embarrassed."
