Saturday captain Byron Sorensen scored a powerplay marker 1:29 into overtime to give the Legionnaires a 2-1 win.

Dayton Reinboldt also scored, while Tyler Bird, Andy Blanke, and Dillon Currie each picked up assists.

Joel Rumpel earned the win with 29 saves on 30 shots.

Sunday the Legionnaires jumped out to a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes but allowed four unanswered goals to suffer a 5-3 loss to the Trojans.

Dillon Currie, Anthony St. Onge, and Dylan Balaski all scored for Swift Current.

Anthony Geib and Andy Blanke each dished out a pair of helpers, followed by Zach Habscheid with a single.

Rumpel suffered the loss with 26 saves on 31 shots.

Special teams partially led to the Legionnaires demise as they failed to score on 10 powerplays and allowed two goals while shorthanded on 11 Trojans' opportunities.

Following Sunday's collapse Legionnaires head coach Kent Woods was understandably disappointed.

"In the first 20 minutes we played with intensity and in the last 20 minutes we didn't," said Woods. "Our team, when we start fishing for pucks and not battling and competing, we are going to give up good scoring chances and then we get back on our heels and take penalties. We dumped pucks in deep and played well in the first period and then all hell broke loose."

Following the weekend split the Legionnaires' record sits at 3-4-0-0 while Tisdale moves to 5-3-0-1.

Thursday the Legionnaires will be in Moose Jaw before returning to the Credit Union iplex to host the Saskatoon Contacts at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
