AMHERST - The Ramblers will visit the Pictou County Weeks Crushers on Thursday night and a few players from last year's roster will no longer be wearing a Ramblers jersey.
"We have traded Tyson Alders and Jordan Stapleton to the Halifax Lions for future considerations," Ramblers coach Corey Crocker said. "And we traded Clifford Mugford to the Miramichi Timberwolves for future considerations."
Trading the players didn't come easy for Crocker.
"The last four days have been the hardest since I've been coaching and managing the Ramblers," Crocker said. "It's never easy when you have players come into your program the year before and give it their all, and then the next year you have to cut them."
Despite their departure, Crocker appreciates what they've done for the organization.
"Once a Rambler, always a Rambler," Crocker said. "These three kids helped build the program and they are part of our program. They'll get a lot of playing time and I wish them all the best."
