Fence Busters 1-1 at Provincial Qualifiers

Springhill Fence Buster Alaina Porter hits a single Saturday at Lions Park during the Fence Busters' 19-8 win over the Cole Harbour Cardinals. Springhill plays the Windsor Knights tomorrow.

SPRINGHILL-The Springhill Fence Busters hit one out-of-the park this afternoon following a tough 7-6 loss to the Truro Bear Cats this morning at Lions Park.

The aforesaid game, which was started on Friday night, but postponed until Saturday due to rain, was picked up in the 4th inning.

Rain wasn't a factor in Springhill's second game of the weekend as they defeated the Cole Harbour Cardinals by a score of 19-8, a game that was called after 5 innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

The aforementioned Truro Bear Cats and Windsor Knights played after the Fence Busters' game.

On Sunday, the Springhill Fence Busters will play the Windsor Knights in their final round robin game before the playoffs to determine which team (s) will earn a provincial playoff berth begin.

Springhill, Cole Harbour, Truro and Windsor are the only four Mosquito baseball teams playing in Springhill this weekend.
