Bantam Indians sweep Yorkton

The Swift Current Bantam Indians had a busy long weekend with four Baseball Regina SGI Bantam AAA League home games.

The Indians bats were alive at home on Saturday and Sunday as they crossed the plate for 41 runs in four straight wins over Yorkton.

The Tribe opened the weekend with a 7-6 win on Saturday afternoon and then followed up with a 13-5 victory. They mercy ruled Yorkton on Sunday morning with a 15-0 win and then edged them 6-4 to complete the weekend sweep.

The Indians will be on the road Wednesday when they visit the Moose Jaw Mallards after 10 straight home games to open the season.

The Bantam Indians will be back at home this weekend for four more games. Weyburn visits Kiwanis Field on Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m. The Regina White Sox will be in town Sunday for games at 12 and 3 p.m.
