The Swift Current Indians’ season will be on the line Sunday at Mitchell Field.
Saturday, for the second straight night, the Tribe were unable to close out their playoff series as they suffered a 6-3 loss to the host Lethbridge Bulls to tie the series at two games apiece.
Both teams had 10 hits but Jeremie Fagnan hit a three-run home run in the third inning to put the Bulls ahead 4-1 as he touched home for the eventual winning run.
Eric Huson suffered the loss, allowing eight hits and five runs over 3-2/3 innings. Myles Ethier pitched the final 4-1/3 innings, allowing two hits and one run to keep the Indians in the game.
Alex Mortensen, Luke Barry, and Kirk Haviland each had runs batted in for the Tribe.
The fifth and deciding game goes Sunday at 7:05 p.m. at Mitchell Field. The winner will take on the Medicine Hat Mavericks in the Western Major Baseball League semifinals.
